This is not the information that I am writing to criticize, but to share my experiences honestly.
I hope that this information will help you decide which yoga studio in Singapore you should choose.
I took a Yoga Teacher Training Certificate at Vyasa Yoga Studio Singapore in 2011.
The course includes 100 hours of theory and 100 hours of practical exercises. The cost is about SGD3,600 at that time.
The details of the theory are half-hearted, and the essence of the fundamental theory of yoga is not discussed. So I feel it is the same as buying a yoga book in a bookstore.
The practice is more like yoga therapy, with a focus on gentle yoga. You shouldn’t expect to learn powerful yoga poses from this course.
Overall, I got the impression that they are trying to make a business out of getting people to get yoga certifications.
I don’t think they give clear advice on the purpose of getting the teacher’s certification.
Why do you practice yoga? What is the purpose of practicing yoga?
Asana yoga is an act that can easily become a spirituality, an inner dependence.
If you start without a clear idea of what your purpose is it can become a dangerous dependency.
It is important to be clear that asana yoga is only a tool.
